Prof. Dolecek is a speaker in a plenary session at the Information Theory and Applications (ITA), by invitation-only workshop, held annually at the UC San Diego. In her talk, Prof. Dolecek discusses the role of channel coding in modern decentralized data systems such as blockchains. This talk is a part of aa special session “Three Cheers for Information Theory”, organized by Prof. Bloch, and whose other speakers are Prof. E. Soljanin and Prof. A. Barron.
